Yuge Zhang is a researcher at the Unit of Epidemiology, Institute of Environmental Medicine, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. Specializing in aging, longevity, and health resilience, Zhang examines how diseases accumulate across the life course and why centenarians experience slower progression to multimorbidity. Their work highlights the role of genetic, environmental, and epigenetic factors in shaping resilience and extending healthy lifespan. Zhang’s research contributes to identifying strategies for preventive care and understanding the biology of exceptional longevity.
