Will is an experienced director of media communications with a demonstrated history of working in higher education. He is skilled in news release writing, magazine writing, editing, public speaking, strategic communications, journalism and media relations. A top-shelf media and communications professional, Will received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Lutheran University in 1984 and a Master of Journalism degree from the University of North Texas in 1986. He was a copy editor at the Waco Tribune-Herald (1986-88) and San Antonio Express-News (1988-90) before joining UT Health San Antonio in October 1990. He has served under three UT Health San Antonio presidents, John P. Howe, III, M.D.; Francisco G. Cigarroa, M.D.; and William L. Henrich, M.D., MACP. Will is the author of the 2009 book, “The Crown Jewel: The History of the First 50 Years of The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.”
