The University Heart & Vascular Center Hamburg (UHZ) offers the most up-to-date diagnosis and treatment of the entire spectrum of adult and pediatric cardiovascular diseases based on the latest medical research.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary to the University Hospital Hamburg Eppendorf, the UHZ began its service on January 1st, 2005. In addition to patient treatment, the UHZ is also responsible for research and teaching. UHZ is part of the German Hospital Plan in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (270 beds), with approximately 900 staff members offering treatment 24/7.

The UHZ is comprised of departments for cardiology, pediatric cardiology, cardiovascular surgery with surgery for congenital heart disease and vascular medicine.
