The American Journal of Medicine is an academic medical journal for practicing internists. Also known as "The Green Journal," AJM has been published continuously since 1946.
AJM publishes original clinical research, reviews, diagnostic imaging, case studies, and other types of articles.
Since 2004, the Editor-in-Chief has been Joseph S. Alpert, MD, professor of medicine at The University of Arizona. Pamela J. Powers, MPH, is the managing editor, and Timothy S. Baird, MA, is the assistant editor/office manager. The American Journal of Medicine is published by Elsevier.
