My experience includes teaching epidemiology and genetics to undergraduate medical students, PhD students and professionals. I have 16 years of research experience during which time I have focussed on applying genetics to epidemiology as a tool to make causal inferences about risk factors (diet, alcohol, smoking) and disease and development. My research to date has been mainly on cancer, heart disease, mental health and brain development. I also have experience in managing a small research team and organising taught courses.
