João da Silva is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in global media. He currently serves as a Senior Journalist at BBC News in Singapore, a role he’s held since August 2021. Before this, João worked at Al Jazeera in Doha as an Acting Assistant Programme Editor and News Producer. His journalism journey spans over a decade, with stints as a reporter and anchor for TVB in Hong Kong and TDM News in Macau. João holds an M.A. in International Law from SOAS, University of London.
