John G. Cramer

Physics professor

John G. Cramer, a 90-year-old emeritus physics professor at the University of Washington, is best known for developing the “Quantum Handshake” transactional interpretation of quantum mechanics. He has authored over 300 scientific papers, conducted experiments at CERN and Brookhaven, and written acclaimed hard science fiction novels like Twistor and Einstein’s Bridge. He also penned the long-running “The Alternate View” column for Analog Science Fiction and Fact. A fellow of the American Physical Society, Cramer is now venturing into longevity science, participating in a pioneering mitochondrial transplantation project aimed at breaking the human age barrier of 122 years.
