Assistant professor in Biomedical Informatics at University of Colorado
Joanne Cole is a computational/statistical geneticist and currently working as an assistant professor in Biomedical Informatics at University of Colorado. Her research group uses large-scale genomics as a tool to learn more about diet's role in the body and human health, with a focus on cardiometabolic disease. Three primary and related goals are to improve dietary phenotypes derived from diet questionnaires, elucidate the underlying environmental and biological mechanisms influencing dietary intake and food metabolism, and understand diet's role in human health through epidemiological approaches and human studies.
Cole completed BS from University of Maryland–College Park and received a PhD from University of Colorado Denver.
