Professor of Pediatric Immunology at Columbia University
Dusan Bogunovic, PhD, is a Professor of Pediatric Immunology at Columbia University’s Department of Pediatrics, where he also serves as Vice Chair for Basic Research and Director of the Center for Genetic Errors of Immunity. He leads the Bogunovic Lab, which investigates human immunogenetics through multifaceted approaches—including genomic, molecular, cellular, and clinical tools—to deepen our understanding of rare auto-inflammatory syndromes, severe infectious disease presentations, broad-spectrum antiviral therapeutics, and the immune system in Down syndrome. Dr. Bogunovic’s contributions have earned him prestigious recognitions such as the 2023 ICIS-Luminex John R. Kettman Award for Excellence in Interferon & Cytokine Research, the 2020 Blue Knight Designation for Lab11 Therapeutics by BARDA, and several other honours reflecting his leadership in immunology and viral defence research.
