Danielle is a Senior Editor at The Scientist, with a strong background in psychology and behavioural neuroscience. She earned her PhD from Yale University and went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship in neuroscience at Weill Cornell Medicine. Her academic research focused on uncovering how stress and depression impact the brain at the cellular and molecular levels throughout development. Danielle has previously served as editor-in-chief of the Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine, written for BioTechniques News and Drug Discovery News, and participated in numerous science outreach programs across Connecticut and New York City.
