The Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute aims to harness the scientific strengths of Cambridge to solve problems associated with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, focusing on the practical application of high-quality basic research into patient care.

The Institute is based in the heart of the Cambridge Biomedical Campus with close links to research partners within the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre including the University of Cambridge, Cambridge University Hospitals, the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology and the Gurdon Institute.
