Freelance Journalist specialising in STEM
She is a freelance journalist specialising in science, technology, research, higher education and ideas. Her work appears regularly in The Guardian/Observer. Other publications she have written for include The Times (of London), Financial Times, Nature and Nature News, New Scientist, The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Lancet and Times Higher Education. She was previously a reporter at Times Higher Education covering science and research policy. Prior to that she was a reporter at Research Fortnight and Research Europe magazines where she began my career in journalism.
She has an MSc in science communication from Imperial College London (class of 2005) and a BSc (hons) in chemistry from Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia, my home town. She relocated from London to San Francisco and became a freelancer in May 2010.
