Sara Gilgore covers health, life sciences and cannabis. She joined the Washington Business Journal in 2015 as reporter and a few years later took over the health care beat, including through the Covid-19 crisis. She’s also covered startups and innovation. She earned her bachelor’s from Bucknell University and master’s from Northwestern University’s Medill School, before returning to her native D.C. area, where she now lives with her husband, daughter and pandemic puppy, Oakley.
