Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT
Regina Barsilay is a distinguished professor in MIT’s Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department and the AI Faculty Lead at the MIT Jameel Clinic. She earned her PhD in Computer Science from Columbia University in 2003 and spent a year as a postdoctoral researcher at Cornell, before joining MIT in 2003 and being appointed the Delta Electronics Professor in 2016. Her research spans natural language processing, deep learning applications in chemistry, and oncology, with a notable focus on applying machine learning to revolutionize drug discovery and cancer diagnostics
