National Cancer Audit Collaborating Centre (NATCAN)

UK-based initiative dedicated to improving cancer care

The National Cancer Audit Collaborating Centre (NatCan) is a UK-based initiative dedicated to improving cancer care through comprehensive audits and data analysis. Established by the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) and commissioned by NHS England and the Welsh Government, NatCan monitors cancer treatment outcomes to identify disparities and areas for improvement.

Covering nine major cancer types—responsible for 80% of all cases—the centre assesses treatment quality, patient outcomes, and adherence to national guidelines. Its findings help shape healthcare policies, ensure equitable access to treatment, and enhance patient care across England and Wales.
