Dr. Thomas is an internationally recognized neurosurgeon at Southern Brain & Spine in Metairie, Louisiana. In addition to conducting spinal surgeries, he treats diseases of the brain and spine, as well as peripheral nerve problems. His mission, as is that of his practice, is to offer patients and referrers timely access to quality, comprehensive, cutting-edge neurosurgical care that encompasses brain microsurgery and minimally invasive spine surgery in a caring, personalized, world-class setting.

A native of Louisiana, Dr. Thomas graduated with his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1997. He then went on to perform his residency in neurological surgery at the said establishment. He also trained at the world-famous Charity Hospital in New Orleans, and completed special additional training on complex spine and minimally invasive spinal procedures in Memphis, Tennessee, under the direction of Kevin T. Foley, MD.
