We are interested in understanding the structure/function relationship of cells to improve cell-based therapy for several diseases such as liver failure. We utilize microfabrication tools and electrochemical reactions to study roles of cell-cell interactions, cell-extracellular matrix interactions, soluble stimuli, and to build up three-dimensional tissues.
