Dr. Julio Fernandez-Mendoza's research focuses
on the relationship between disturbed and insufficient sleep with
cardiometabolic, neurocognitive and psychopathologic morbidity and
mortality. This relationship is being examined in population-based
cohorts of adults, adolescents and young children. Other interests
encompass the efficacy of cognitive-behavioral vs. pharmacological
therapy for insomnia.
