John Michael Jumper (born 1985) is an American chemist and computer scientist, currently serving as Director at DeepMind Technologies. He is best known for co-creating AlphaFold, a groundbreaking AI model that accurately predicts protein structures from amino acid sequences. In 2024, Jumper and Demis Hassabis were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their revolutionary work in this field. In 2021, the journal Nature named Jumper one of the ten "people who mattered" in science.
