Clinical neuropsychologist and associate professor of neurology at Dell Medical School, UT Health Austin
Dr. Jared F. Benge is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and associate professor in the Department of Neurology at Dell Medical School, University of Texas at Austin. He serves as the Clinical Director of the Comprehensive Memory Center at UT Health Austin’s Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences. Dr. Benge specializes in the assessment of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and cognitive impairment in movement disorders. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a neuropsychology emphasis from the University of Houston and completed his residency and fellowship at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. His research focuses on integrating technology to assist individuals with cognitive decline, aiming to enhance early detection and improve real-world functioning in older adults. Dr. Benge has authored over 60 publications and received several awards, including the 2025 UT Excellence in Research on Aging Award from the Texas Aging & Longevity Consortium.
