Hassan S. Dashti is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine at Mass General, affiliated with Harvard Medical School, and a registered dietitian and research scientist. His work focuses on the interplay between nutrition and sleep—especially how the timing of eating affects cardiometabolic disease risk in both healthy people and patients. He earned his PhD from Tufts University’s Friedman School of Nutrition, completed a dietetic internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and did postdoctoral work in genomics at Mass General. His research has been supported by organizations like NIH-NHLBI, the ASPEN Rhoads Research Foundation, and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and he serves as an Associate Editor for Advances in Nutrition.
