Professor of Human Neurophysiology at Oxford Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging
Charlotte J. Stagg, MRCP DPhil, is a Professor of Human Neurophysiology and Wellcome Trust Senior Research Fellow, who serves as Associate Director of the Oxford Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging and as the Beale Fellow in Medicine at St Hilda’s College. She leads the Physiological Neuroimaging Group, where her research focuses on uncovering how the brain adapts to new challenges—especially mechanisms of motor learning and functional recovery following stroke. Employing a multimodal approach that includes advanced MRI techniques, magnetoencephalography (MEG), non-invasive brain stimulation, and pharmacological tools, her team explores interventions to enhance neural plasticity and develop novel therapies for neurological disorders.
