Health reporter at New Scientist

Carissa Wong is a health reporter who covers a range of medical topics, from infectious disease to cancer and mental health. She previously worked as a retained reporter at Nature magazine, and has freelanced for publications such as Live Science and The Scientist. She entered the world of journalism as an intern and junior reporter at New Scientist. She holds a PhD in cancer and the immune system at Cardiff University, in collaboration with the University of Bristol.
