Zhigang Yu received the M.S. and M.D./Ph.D. degrees in medical science from Shandong University, Jinan, Shandong, China, in 1997 and 2004, respectively. He was a Resident Doctor and an Attending Doctor with The Second Hospital of Shandong University, from 1990 to 1995 and from 1995 to 2002, respectively, where he has been a Chief Physician and a Professor, since 2006. Since 2004, he has been the Director of the Department of Breast Surgery. His research interests include surgery of breast diseases, epidemiological study on breast cancer, and the translational study of breast cancer prevention as well.
