Venkata Kusuma
Consultant Urologist and Robotic surgeon at James Cook University Hospital.
Mr Kusuma graduated from University of Health Sciences, India in 2000 and completed his surgical and urological training in 2010. He gained further urological experience in working at leading Christie hospital, Manchester and Guys and St. Thomas hospital, London. Subsequently, he undertook uro-oncology fellowship at Colchester, Essex. He was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Urology) in 2015. He completed fellowship in robotic surgery from European Robotic Urology Section (ERUS) certified training centre at Guildford, Surrey.
He was appointed as Consultant Urologist at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, 2019. He has a strong academic interest and is actively involved in training undergraduates and postgraduates as well as health professionals. He is a member in several urological associations including the British Association of Urology (BAUS), the European Association of Urology (EAU) and Urological Society of India (USI). He is on the editorial board of Indian Journal of Urology and published in various journals and presented in national and international meetings.
