UCL Centre for Longitudinal Studies
Economic and Social Research Council resource centre
The Centre for Longitudinal Studies (CLS) is an Economic and Social Research Council resource centre based in the Department for Quantitative Social Science, Institute of Education, University College London. CLS is home to a unique series of UK national cohort studies and is part of the University College London (UCL).
The studies follow multiple generations of people across the whole of their lives. By collecting information from the same people over time, these studies build powerful resources for research and policy development. CLS manages the extensive process of surveying all cohort members through a combination of face-to-face and telephone interviews, and paper and online questionnaires.
