Dr. Sheng Zhong is a professor in the Shu Chien-Gene Lay Department of Bioengineering at the University of California San Diego. With a background in applied mathematics, bioinformatics, molecular biology, and genome science from institutions like Peking University, Harvard, and Stanford, he leads a lab focused on developing single-cell omics technologies and brain organoid models to study human brains and combat Alzheimer's disease.
