Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Santhi Iyer Kumar, MD is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at Keck Medicine of USC. She is part of the Keck's Center for Advanced Lung Disease, a multi-disciplinary clinic specializing in the management of patients with complex pulmonary disease, where she primarily sees patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). As the medical director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit, Dr. Kumar is especially interested in the management of patients with end stage pulmonary and improving survivorship after critical illness. Dr. Kumar is actively involved in the education of residents and fellows through the Keck School of Medicine. Her other interests include quality improvement, team science, and the implementation of best practices at the bedside.
