Dr. Paul M. Ridker, director of the Center for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), is a leading expert in cardiovascular medicine and the Eugene Braunwald Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS). He earned his medical degree from HMS, followed by an internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at BWH. Dr. Ridker is board certified in internal medicine and practices at the Southern Jamaica Plain Health Center. With over 500 peer-reviewed publications, his research focuses on the inflammatory mediators of heart disease, biomarkers for coronary disease, and the prevention of atherosclerotic disease. He has been recognized as one of America's Top Doctors and a top cardiologist by Boston Magazine.
