Palomar Health is a California health care district in San Diego County. It operates Palomar Medical Center in Escondido (opened in 2012), Pomerado Hospital in Poway, and many other locations. They are the largest public health system in Southern California and the only designated Level II Trauma in North County San Diego, CA. They have been serving sunny San Diego's inland North County communities for more than 50 years and were recently named as the first California member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
As the largest hospital district in Southern California, they are also one of the most diverse. From our state-of-the-art Cardiac Care and Rehabilitation Facilities and a busy Trauma center to Home Healthcare, they deliver a full spectrum of health services to meet the needs of every member of their community. In addition to hospitals - Palomar Medical Center Escondido, Palomar Medical Center Poway, and Palomar Medical Center Downtown Escondido, they offer health services through affiliated medical groups, skilled nursing facilities, and Palomar Health Expresscare clinics.
