Prof. Oleg Gusev graduated from Kazan Federal University in 2004 and received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biotrgulation from the Graduate School of Natural Sciences and Technology, Okayama University, Japan, in 2007.
He has experience in research at Japanese institutions such as the National Institute of Agrobiological Resources, JAXA, and RIKEN, and since 2021, he has been a Senior Associate Professor at Juntendo University, where he leads the Department of Regulatory Transcriptomics for Medical Genetic Diagnostics.
His research fields include genome technologies in biomedicine, comparative genomics, biology of hypometabolism and ametabolism, and the origin and evolution of resistance to abiotic stresses and its applications.
