Nuno Raimundo
Associate Professor in Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology at the Penn State Cancer Institute
Nuno Raimundo obtained his Biochemistry degree at the University of Lisbon (Portugal), followed by PhD studies focused on mitochondrial diseases at the University of Helsinki (Finland). He then moved to Yale University for postdoctoral training, where he explored cellular mechanisms associated with mitochondrial malfunction in mammals.
Nuno Raimundo started his lab in Germany with the funding of a ERC Starting Grant from the European Commission. Upon completion of the funding, he relocated his laboratory to Penn State College of Medicine, as Associate Professor. Since 2021, Nuno Raimundo is a Principal Investigator at the new Multidisciplinary Institute of Ageing, University of Coimbra.
