The Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) is an Institute under State Legislature Act in Hyderabad, Telangana. It has campuses in Punjagutta and Bibinagar. NIMS is recognized by University Grants Commission and Medical Council of India.

The university offers several courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, PG Diploma and Research level to the students who want to pursue their career in the field of Medical Science.

The university is currently offering admission to BPT and B.Sc. (Nursing) courses at the graduation level and MD and MCH courses at post graduation level. 

• For BPT and B.Sc. (Nursing) the selection will be made on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying examination.
• B.Sc. Nursing course is available only for female candidates.
• Selection in medical courses such as DM and MCh. will be done through the score obtained in the NEET SS entrance examination, followed by counseling.
• At Research level, candidates also need to appear in personal interview.
