Senior Physician of the Clinic and Polyclinic for Surgery
Michael Kranzfelder, MD, FACS studied medicine in Budapest and Würzburg. He works a consultant surgeon at the Department of Surgery, Klinikum rechts der Isar, Technical University Munich. He completed his postdoctoral thesis to qualify as a professor in 2015 on the topic "adaptive and cooperative surgical systems". His research focus are intelligent cooperative OR- systems, robot-assisted surgery, sensor-based real-time OR workflow analysis and prediction, and mobile data communication in the healthcare sector (total impact factor: >60, H-index: 5). Dr. Kranzfelder has acquired numerous third-party funded projects, including research on 5G telecommunication applications in the healthcare domain.
