Dr. Max Ortiz Catalan is an Associate Professor and Head of the Bionics Research Unit at the Department of Electrical Engineering. He is also the founding Director of the Center for Bionics and Pain Research, Sweden. Dr. Ortiz Catalan is the and Director previously the  Biomechatronics and Neurorehabilitation Laboratory (2016-2020). He is an Associate Editor for the Journal of NeuroEngineering and Rehabilitation (JNER), for the IEEE Transactions on Medical Robotics and Bionics (T-MRB), and for Frontiers in Neuroscience (RT).
