Marcus Banks is a science journalist based in New York. His writings appeared in Slate, Undark, Nieman Storyboard, Superstition Review, American Libraries, the Fortnightly Review, the San Francisco Chronicle, the American Scholar, TCTMD, and Scienceline.

He graduated from the Science Health and Environmental Reporting Program at New York University in 2019, and earned a master’s in Library and Information Science from Dominican University in 2002.

Banks received a BA (English) from Northwestern University, and a Masters in Library and Information Science from Dominican University.
