LifeShare of Oklahoma

Nonprofit organ procurement organization (OPO) of Oklahoma

LifeShare is a nonprofit organ procurement organization (OPO) dedicated to the recovery of organs and tissue for transplant purposes. We are committed to caring for the families that are touched by donation. LifeShare team members are a wonderful group of caring professionals who regardless of their role contribute to our core purpose of saving of lives.

In March of 2020, LifeShare announced the development of a Central Donation Facility (CDF) for the facilitation of the donation process.  Establishing a donation facility has quickly become a national best practice for organ procurement organizations. Under this new model, LifeShare will routinely, but not universally, transfer authorized organ donors from the originating or referring donor hospital to the recovery facility to facilitate the donation process. LifeShare also has a fully operational clean room to enhance kidney pump operations. There is a secondary office located in Tulsa and tissue recovery center in Oklahoma City.
LifeShare has approximately 150 staff members responsible for various tasks including organ, eye and tissue screening and recovery, medical management of potential donors, quality control services, bereavement care for families, public education and awareness, hospital development and basic administration.
