Dr. Leyre Basurco Gogorcena is a biomedical scientist with expertise in neuroscience and immunology. She completed her PhD in Neuroimmunology at the University of Navarra, focusing on immune-based neuroprotective therapies for Parkinson's disease. With over six years of translational research experience, she has worked in leading labs across Spain, France, and Israel. Dr. Basurco has contributed to preclinical evaluations of therapies for neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Her work includes authoring multiple publications, supervising students, and presenting at international conferences. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science, studying immune-related strategies for neurodegenerative conditions.
