Dr. Junyue Cao is an assistant professor at Rockefeller University, leading the Laboratory of Single-Cell Genomics and Population Dynamics. He develops high-throughput tools like EasySci and TrackerSci to study how individual cells behave during aging, disease, and development. His research maps brain and tissue cell dynamics, offering insight into conditions such as Alzheimer’s and cancer. Originally from China, he studied at Peking University and earned his Ph.D. at the University of Washington. He has received major honors, including the 2020 Science & SciLifeLab Prize and the NIH New Innovator Award, for advancing single-cell genomics at unprecedented scales.
