Assistant professor of biomedical engineering at the University of California Davis
Jinhwan Kim is currently working as an assistant professor of biomedical engineering at the University of California Davis, and holds a joint appointment with the Department of Surgery at UC Davis Health.
Kim’s research centers on the integration of nanotechnology, cell engineering, and bioimaging to augment and optimize cell-based therapies, including immunotherapy and stem cell therapy. His research group, the Laboratory for Cell Nanoengineering, investigates the augmentation of endogenous functional/therapeutic cells (e.g., stem cells, T cells, NK cells) with foreign and biocompatible nanoparticles.
Kim holds a PhD in Chemistry from Pohang University of Science and Technology.
