Hyung Joon Cha, Ph.D., is a leading scientist and innovator in biomaterials and biotechnology. He serves as Chief Technology Officer at Nature Gluetech Co., Ltd. in Seoul and holds the SeAH Chair Professorship at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), where he is also Professor and Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering. In addition to his academic leadership, he directs the Education Program for Innovative Chemical Engineering Leaders (BK21 FOUR), the Biomaterials Research Center, and the National Research Laboratory of Molecular Biotechnology in Pohang. His work bridges academia and industry, driving advances in molecular biotechnology, biomaterials, and their applications in medicine and engineering.
