Hospital Universitari Mutua Terrassa (HUMT) is part of the Public Hospitals network (XHUP) providing medical services to social security patients in the Terrassa catchment area, in agreement with CatSalut, the health department of the Regional Government (Generalitat) of Catalonia. It is ascribed to the University of Barcelona.

The hospital has an outstanding reputation for healthcare. It currently has 468 beds a total of 34 medical and surgical specialities and main services. It provides public health coverage to a catchment area of 245,000 inhabitants.

It has agreements with the ‘Universitat de Barcelona’ since 1985 to train students in Medicine, Pharmacy and Psychology, as well as different Nursing  schools  and  other universities and centres of higher education.
