Gamal Abdel Nasser University of Conakry (UGANC) was established in 1962 and is the largest university in Guinea. It currently has a Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry, Faculty of Sciences, Centre for Study and Environmental Research), Computing Centre  and a Polytechnic Institute.
