Dan Gooding is a freelance journalist, editor, and audio producer with over ten years working in multi-platform news. He is currently writing for the The Independent.

In the UK, he produced award-nominated local news at Mix96 - including radio bulletins, app pushes, web articles and in-depth explainers on local issues, while also managing other journalists and freelancers. With Bauer Media, he oversaw the introduction of a new brand in two markets, while working collaboratively with journalists across the UK.

Dan received a bacherlor's degree in Journalism from De Montfort University.
