​Professor Anoop Shah is a clinical cardiologist and epidemiologist at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and Imperial College NHS Trust. He completed his medical studies at the University of Edinburgh, followed by specialized training in cardiovascular medicine and a doctorate focusing on cardiac biomarkers. Originally from Kenya, Professor Shah's research primarily addresses cardiovascular diseases in Africa, emphasizing health service delivery improvements and exploring the connections between infectious diseases and cardiovascular conditions. He teaches various MSc modules at LSHTM and organizes short courses through the Centre for Global Chronic Conditions.
