Alice Owen

Researcher at Monash University

Alice Owen is a Senior Research Fellow in the Centre of Cardiovascular Research and Education in Therapeutics in the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. Her areas of research interest include the cardiovascular effects of long chain omega-3 fats, epidemiological modelling and community strategies for blood pressure control. Alice is also a senior investigator of the ASPREE Longitudinal Study of Older Persons (ALSOP), a sub-study of the ASPREE clinical trial of aspirin.

Alice is a physiologist who undertook her PhD through the University of Adelaide, based at the (then) CSIRO Division of Human Nutrition. She undertook a post-doctoral fellowship at the ARC Key Centre for Smart Foods at the University of Wollongong prior to joining Monash.
