Space Resources Scientist at European Space Agency - ESA
As part of the Strategic and Innovation team of the Directorate of Human and Robotic Exploration, I support new initiatives in the field of lunar In-Situ Resource Utilisation (ISRU). It includes:
- Participation in the development of the ESA Space Resources Strategy
- Review of ISRU payload design in early mission phases
- Knowledge gaps identification in the field of Space resources
- Definition of Space Resources Lab requirements
- Main Guest Editor of a space resources special issue in Planetary and Space Science Journal
- Contact with the ISRU Science community (reach out to the community and workshop organisation)
- Development of a process based on molten salt electrolysis to extract oxygen from lunar regolith
