Robotics company
Tombot is a California-based robotics company focused on creating lifelike companion pets for people who cannot care for real animals, especially those living with dementia or mild cognitive impairment. Its signature product, Jennie, is a robotic puppy designed with help from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop to look and behave like a gentle, responsive dog. The company builds these robots to reduce loneliness, offer emotional comfort and support caregivers in homes and care facilities. Tombot recently secured new funding to grow its team, finalize engineering and meet safety standards as it prepares to ship thousands of pre-ordered robotic puppies.
