Founded in 1937, the Second People's Hospital of Guiyang, also known as Jinyang Hospital, is a large-scale comprehensive 3A hospital with an 81-year history. 

It has 34 clinical departments including internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, traditional Chinese medicine, dermatology and oncology and eight medical technology departments including inspection, imaging, pathology and function.

The emergency department and the intensive medicine department are provincial-level key clinical disciplines; the department of neurology is a provincial-level key clinical discipline under support; the department of neurosurgery is a provincial-level key clinical specialty under support; the departments of dermatology, medical imaging, and rehabilitation medicine are municipal-level key clinical disciplines, and the departments of anesthesiology, endocrinology, and pain medicine are municipal-level key clinical specialties.
