Professor Stephen Nicholls is a globally recognized cardiologist and the Director of the Monash Victorian Heart Institute in Melbourne. He is also a Professor of Cardiology at Monash University, specializing in strategies to reduce the risk of heart disease through innovative research and clinical trials. With a career spanning translational research from preclinical studies to groundbreaking clinical trials, he has authored over 770 publications and secured significant funding to advance cardiovascular medicine. Under his leadership, Australia’s first dedicated heart hospital, the Victorian Heart Hospital, opened in 2023, providing state-of-the-art specialized care.
